🚉 Homestead Station Under New Ownership
Guess what? Homestead Station has new owners: Linkvest Capital and MMG Equity Partners. The previous folks couldn’t keep up with the mortgage and handed over the keys instead of going through foreclosure drama.
MMG is all about retail, so they’re planning to give the place a facelift and bring in more tenants. Could be just what Homestead Station needs to thrive. Let’s see how it plays out.
🚛 Truck Parking Lot Construction Underway
After months of waiting, construction is finally starting on a truck parking lot in Princeton. It’s a big deal because it’s the first purpose-built truck parking facility in Miami-Dade!
Here’s the scoop:
60 acres of asphalt with 1,572 truck parking spaces
24/7 security and gated access
Located at 10495 SW 248th St., right by the Turnpike
It’s a win for the local logistics scene—and anyone tired of seeing trucks parked all over the place.
🍗 All Chick-fil-As Now Open!
Chicken fans, rejoice! All three Chick-fil-As in South Dade are officially open. Here’s where you can grab your nuggets or chicken sandwich:
Coconut Palm: 11250 SW 248th St., Homestead
Homestead: 3200 NE 8th St., Homestead
Cutler Bay: 18240 S. Dixie Hwy., Miami
Now you’ve got options for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

⚽ A $337M Sports Complex in the Works
Here’s something exciting: There’s a plan to build a $337 million sports complex near the Homestead Reserve Air Base.
The proposal includes:
A 10,000-seat soccer stadium
A hotel, student housing, and a sports medicine center
Basketball courts and other sports fields
Not everyone’s thrilled about it—there are concerns about its impact on the air base and nearby protected areas. But if it goes through, it could be a huge boost for the area or make it worse. Fingers crossed they get it right.
🌳 Cutler Bay Legacy Park: A Vision for Community Connection
Big things are on the horizon for Cutler Bay! The new Cutler Bay Legacy Park will transform a 16-acre parcel into the ultimate community hub. Here’s what’s planned:
A brand-new Town Hall and Police Station
A modern Community Center
A sprawling park designed for festivals, performances, and events
This ambitious project is all about creating a vibrant space where neighbors can connect, celebrate, and enjoy the best of Cutler Bay. We’ll keep you updated as plans take shape!
